Purpose of Classification:

Manages all human resources functions and financial resources for the Department of Pediatrics and Steele Children's Research Center, including all funds budgeted for UA and UA Health Network (UAHN).

Example of Duties:

  • Manages $35 million annual expense budget (all funds)
  • Oversees human resources functions, such as hiring, termination, classification, payroll processing, performance evaluations, employee relations, and promotion and tenure for more than 200 employees
  • Manages faculty compensation and directly administers compensation for staff and professional employees
  • Manages clinical full-time equivalent and relative value unit data to measure clinical faculty productivity
  • Interacts with development officers and Steele Center Advisory Board
  • Maintains 35,286 net square feet of assigned space, systems, and equipment
  • Supervises staff

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree with more than 8 years of directly comparable experience; OR bachelor's degree with 5 to 8 years of directly comparable experience; OR master's degree with 1 to 3 years of directly comparable experience
