Purpose of Classification:

Provides senior administrative leadership to the faculty and leadership inthe College of Medicine, Phoenix. Develops and oversees recruitment, selection, and educational and professional development activities consistent with the mission, goals, and founding principles of the College of Medicine

Example of Duties:

  • Advises dean designate in all matters pertaining to faculty affairs
  • Oversees strategic planning activities for all faculty recruitment, appointment, promotion, tenure, and development activities
  • Assures compliance of the College of Medicine,Phoenix with national policies and best practices in faculty recruitment, selection, appointment, and renewals
  • Serves as policy liaison to all faculty search committees
  • Provides guidance to ensure diversity is considered in all recruitment activities
  • Works closely with the Dean of the College of Medicine, Phoenix to develop and support faculty development programming and initiatives
  • Supervises staff

Minimum Qualifications:

PhD or professional degree with 5 to 8 years of directly comparable experience
