Radical Candor Book Discussion

12:00pm to 1:30pm

Facilitator David Magoon, Human Resources Senior Organizational Consultant, will guide a conversation regarding Kim Scott’s ideas and their relevance in the workplace 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. November 28 to discuss the book "Radical Candor" in Room 214 of the University Services Building, 888 N. Euclid Ave, Tucson AZ  85721.

Radical Candor means caring personally and challenging directly. To build strong relationships, you have to care personally. To help your staff develop, you have to challenge directly. In her book, Scott describes the many benefits of candor in professional relationships. She explains how to challenge while also demonstrating care for the other person, and she details the dangers of what she describes as “ruinous empathy,” “manipulative insincerity,” and “obnoxious aggression.”
