Option B Book Discussion

Monday, November 13, 2017 - 11:00am to 12:30pm
University Services Building, Room 214

Is there any skill  more critical for success than resilience?

Facilitators David Magoon, Human Resources Senior Organizational Consultant, and Helena Rodrigues, Assistant Vice President of Human Resources, will guide a conversation about the book "Option B: Facing Adversity, Building Resilience, and Finding Joy" from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, November 13 in Room 214 of the University Services Building, 888 N. Euclid Ave, Tucson AZ  85721.

Sometimes the hardest conversations are the ones we have with ourselves. In “Option B”, authors Adam Grant and Sheryl Sandberg explore Sheryl’s personal insights after tragic loss with Adam’s eye-opening research on finding strength in the face of adversity. They show us that resilience is like a muscle you can build, if you know how. Sandberg’s personal anecdotes, interwoven with Grant’s research and studies touch on personal and professional methods to strengthen resilience.

This discussion is part of an ongoing series regarding SMART Conversations.
