    Important Notice: Qualified Tuition Reduction (QTR) Submission Deadline Changed

    This communication is to inform all employees that the deadline for submission of the QTR Application Form to Human Resources has been changed from the last day of the fall and spring semesters to the 35th day of the fall and spring semesters. The deadline for all summer sessions will be the last day for refunds for summer session 1. These changes will be effective beginning with the fall 2011 semester.

    New Deadlines

    Fall Semester 2011 - September 26, 2011

    Spring Semester 2012 – February 14, 2012
    All 2012 Summer Sessions - June 6, 2012


    • This change affects all employees who use the QTR benefit.
    • This change is being made for the benefit of employees who use the QTR for graduate and professional education. It will permit the Payroll Office to collect the appropriate taxes over six pay periods, for Fall and Spring Sessions, softening the financial blow.
    • This change puts all three Arizona Universities on the same deadline for consistency within the Arizona system.
