Purpose of Classification:

Provides leadership for application development and project portfolio management within the College of Medicine (COM) by defining application architectures, setting project priorities, and managing the required resources. Develops project management processes that effectively prioritize, manage, communicate, and measure IT initiatives within the college.

Example of Duties:

  • Oversees application development and project portfolio management for COM
  • Collaborates with senior management to define, implement, and enforce development standards, policies, and procedures
  • Assists in designing application architectures that closely integrate with UAccess and other University systems and that meet the varied application needs of COM
  • Directs, manages, and develops a diverse technical staff to ensure a stable and well-trained technical team

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 5 to 8 years of directly comparable experience; OR master's degree with 3 to 5 years of directly comparable experience; OR PhD/professional degree with 1 to 3 years of directly comparable experience
