Update on Talent

April 18, 2020

Answering your top system questions

In the months since Human Resources implemented Talent, we have posted more than 500 requisitions and accepted more than 5,000 applications. As expected, we have learned more about the software and have fine-tuned some of our processes.

Please review these relevant updates about changes and features within the Talent system:

Change

Pay Ranges Removed From Job Postings

We have removed University Staff pay ranges from job postings. This will streamline the compensation information presented to applicants and will allow departments to negotiate pay directly with candidates.

What you need to know:

  1. This change will affect all new requisitions reviewed and approved by Human Resources.
  2. People managing requisitions will still be able to view the University Staff pay ranges.
  3. Applicants will still see the University Staff "Pay Grade" and "Rate of Pay" fields.
  4. For more information, Applicants can review the Applicant's Guide to Compensation (PDF).

FYI 1

Character Limit on Document Names

Talent limits document names to 49 characters.

What you need to know:

  1. Applicants cannot upload documents with file names of 50 characters or greater.
  2. If you receive questions, advise the applicant to shorten the file name to fewer than 50 characters.
  3. We will add this constraint as an FAQ on our Applicant Resources webpage.

FYI 2

Login Error When Typing "www"

The Talent URLs (internal and external) do not include "www." Anyone who types “www” in front of the URL will receive an error message.

What you need to know:

  1. Do not type “www” in front of the Talent URLs.
  2. If you receive questions, advise the applicant to type talent.arizona.edu.
  3. Internally, please use talent.arizona.edu/hr.

FYI 3

Compatibility With Interfolio

The Talent reference letter collection feature is compatible with Interfolio.

What you need to know:

  1. Advise applicants to enter their Interfolio email address. Talent will retrieve their recommendation letter from Interfolio.
