Flexible Year Program Re-Enrollment Update for FY 2017-2018

The Flexible Year (Flex 1-6) Program will continue for one final year, though the program will not be offered for new enrollees. Employees currently enrolled in the program may continue participation through the end of Fiscal Year 2017-2018 (June 30, 2018) by re-enrolling one final time.  MSS Job Data Changes are due to HR Workforce Systems by May 15, 2017.  More information is available here.

Changes to FLSA Implementation Due to Recent Nationwide Injunction

Last week, we communicated news that on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, a U.S. District Court judge issued a preliminary, nation-wide injunction halting implementation of the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)’s new overtime rule. While that injunction is considered preliminary, it is indefinite in duration.  As a result, the University of Arizona (UA) is adjusting its scheduled implementation of FLSA regulation changes.
