Continuing Professional Development: Eligible employees receive 16 hours of release time per year to pursue professional development opportunities.

Discounts: Your CatCard is your passport to numerous discounts across campus. Also look for local businesses, especially in the Main Gate and central Tucson areas, that offer discounts. Merchants advertising "student discounts" generally will give that discount to anyone who shows a CatCard, including employees.
UA employees also have access to a discounted home and auto insurance program and to discounts with national retailers through Perks at Work.

Temporary Alternative Work Arrangements: Eligible employees may request up to 16 weeks during which they work modified duties to help them stay on active UA employment while recovering from illness, caring for a sick family member, bringing a new child into the home, or similar circumstances.

All eligible UA employees are required to participate in a retirement plan, where the employee contribution is matched equally by the employer. Classified staff are required to enroll in the Arizona State Retirement System. Appointed personnel have a choice between Arizona State Retirement System or the Optional Retirement Plan. All employees may choose to participate in supplemental retirement plans to increase their retirement savings.
