Employment and Income Verification

Overview

The University of Arizona partners with The Work Number®, an automated employment and income verification service, to provide fast, secure verification of University of Arizona employment records for authorized verifiers such as banks, lenders, property managers and government agencies. This service allows verifiers to access verified employment and income information 24/7.

What The Work Number Provides

Through The Work Number, verifiers may obtain:

• Employment status
• Dates of employment
• Job title
• Income verification (when authorized by the employee)

For Verifiers (Banks, Lenders, Property Managers, Agencies)

Access Employment Information

To verify employment or income for a University of Arizona employee, you can:

1. Visit The Work Number website: www.theworknumber.com or call The Work Number verifier line: 800-367-5690
2. Enter the University of Arizona employer code: 11492435
3. Enter the employee’s Social Security number when prompted

For income verification, the employee must provide a Salary Key (one-time authorization code) in addition to their SSN. 

Note: You may be required to register with The Work Number to access certain information. This registration is done directly with The Work Number and not through U of A Human Resources.

For Employees

Get a Salary Key:

If a verifier asks you for a Salary Key, visit employees.theworknumber.com and create an account.

Once generated, you'll have the option to email the key directly to your verifier or print it out. Each salary key is unique and valid for one verifier's use only. Salary Keys expire after 90 days.
