Compliance Training

The University of Arizona is committed to creating a safe, equitable and ethical campus environment. As part of this commitment, employees must complete training about important federal, state, and university compliance obligations. Completing this training is a shared responsibility for all U of A employees. By doing so, we demonstrate our commitment to our value of integrity to ensure moral character and conduct while building trust with the communities we serve.

Supervisors:

  • When a new employee is hired, please review the chart below and notify employees of required training and deadlines.
  • Please verify that employees complete the required training by the deadline. You can assign additional training by accessing My Team in EDGE Learning.
  • Individuals are automatically emailed reminders to complete training in EDGE Learning. As a supervisor, you are copied on these emails for direct reports so that you are aware of upcoming training deadlines and may support your employee's completion.

Please note: Google Chrome or Firefox are the recommended browsers for training in EDGE Learning, the learning management system (LMS) deployed across the University of Arizona for system-wide employee training and development.

Required Training for All Employees

Some mandatory compliance trainings are auto-assigned to employees on the first day of their employment, depending on their role. EDGE Learning will automatically add them to an employee’s plan in EDGE Learning, and they will have 30 days to complete it.  Some mandatory compliance trainings are auto-assigned to employees on the second day of their employment
