2027 Benefits Open Enrollment - Save the Dates
Today
Three steps to prepare for Open Enrollment
- Check your current benefits. It may have been a year or more since you last looked. Review your current elections and compare them with the updates and changes coming for 2027 to see if anything impacts your selections.
- Review recent and upcoming life changes. Use the Life Circumstances Tool to guide you to the most relevant benefits to review. Read through nine common life circumstances, like a new baby, a caregiving role, or an upcoming surgery, and decide whether each one applies to you in the upcoming year. Each one includes a few questions to help you think it through. Once you submit, you'll get a list of the benefits that fit your situation, with links to learn more. Email the results to yourself so you have them when you enroll.
- Confirm, add or update a beneficiary. In the past year, have you gotten married, divorced, had a birth, or experienced a loss? Please confirm, update or add a beneficiary to your life insurance and supplemental retirement accounts. Learn more about beneficiary types and where you may need to update them.
- Get individualized financial advice. Consider scheduling a meeting with one of the ABOR-approved financial providers or a CAPTRUST adviser to assist with your financial planning. This can help inform which benefits are right for you (e.g., how to plan for retirement, how much life insurance you need, or if you would benefit from a flexible spending or health savings account).
Please note: No action is required during this year’s benefits Open Enrollment unless you want to change your benefits or contribute to a Flexible Spending Account in 2027.
