These discounted group rates, not available to the general public, are available through the voluntary Employee Auto and Homeowner’s Group Discount Insurance Program.

Computers and Information Technology

24/7 IT Support Center
UA students, faculty, and staff can receive free IT support for their personal computers.

Free Downloads of Microsoft Office 365
Faculty and staff may download Microsoft Office 365 software on any number of Windows or Mac computers, and install apps on mobile devices. You cannot be logged into more than 5 devices simultaneously. This software is disabled when you leave university employment

Microsoft's Imagine Academy
Microsoft's Imagine Academy offers industry aligned curricula and certifications to build competencies and validate skills for high-demand technologies.

Faculty, Staff, and Department License Agreement
The 2019 Microsoft software offerings of MS Project Professional Online and MS Visio Online are available to faculty and staff at no cost.

UA BookStores
Faculty and staff receive educational pricing on technology purchases, and can choose to pay through payroll deduction.

UACBT (Computer-Based Training)
The UACBT service offers free online training, with 24/7 access to more than 1,026 courses and 98,729 video tutorials covering a broad range of topics and applications.

Cultural Activities

Biosphere 2 Guided Tours
Tour tickets are discounted for CatCard holders.

College of Fine Arts Performances
Receive a discount on tickets to shows produced by the College of Fine Arts, including dance, music and theatrical performances. The discounts vary by school (dance, music, or theatre), but all three programs are among the top five public university programs nationally, so the performances are worth seeing. Tickets can be ordered through the box office, by phone, or online.

UA Museums
UA students and employees with a CatCard gain free admission to the Arizona State Museum and University of Arizona Museum of Art. Admission to Biosphere 2 is discounted 50%

For most performances, UA Presents offers special savings to students and University employees. Discounts vary by performance and do not apply to Broadway in Tucson events or to premium price seating. You must show your CatCard at the Centennial Hall box office to receive the discount. To receive upcoming special offers and news, sign up on the UA Presents website’s e-list. Be sure to use your UA email address to receive the latest discounts and special offers.

Qualified Tuition Reduction/Domestic Partner Tuition Program
Benefits-eligible employees, official retirees, and their spouses can take courses at any of the three state universities for $25. Dependent children pay 25% of resident tuition fees. Domestic partners (and their dependent children) of UA benefits-eligible employees or retirees receive parallel discounts at UA only.


Faculty/Staff Meal Plan
Get a 10% bonus on purchases at campus eateries. (Specifically, for every $10 you load on your CatCard meal plan, an extra $1 is added to your account.)

UA BookStores
UA faculty and staff get a 10% discount on purchases by showing their CatCard.

Many local merchants also offer periodic or regular discounts if you show a CatCard. Discounts advertised for students typically apply to anyone with a CatCard

Sports & Recreation

Campus Recreation
UA faculty, staff, alumni, and affiliates may purchase memberships to the Campus Recreation Center. Benefits-eligible employees may pay via payroll deduction.

UA Athletics Season Tickets
Full-time UA faculty and staff members are eligible for special pricing on season tickets for all sports, as well as discounts on special Faculty/Staff days.

The Valley of the Sun YMCA Membership

  • 20% discount on month-to-month membership and no joining fee at all 13 Valley of the Sun YMCA branches.

U-Pass Discounted Travel Passes

Parking and Transportation subsidizes 50% of the cost of SunLink streetcar or SunTran bus passes for faculty, staff, and students.

Cat Tran Shuttles

Cat Tran on-campus shuttles are free for UA students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Routes cover the Main Campus, Arizona Health Sciences Center, and the USA building downtown. The TransLoc app allows you to view the locations of the shuttles in real time (http://arizona.transloc.com/).

Cat Wheels Bike Sharing Program
Once you register, you may check out a bicycle (and lock) from any UA garage to use free for 24 hours.

Motorist Assistance Program

Within University property boundaries, Parking and Transportation Services can help you when you lock your keys in your car, get a flat, run out of gas, or have a low battery. Call 621-AUTO.
