COVID-19 Update:

To encourage social distancing, copays for telemedicine services have been waived in most situations.

  • No copay for EPO and PPO participants and their dependents, regardless if it is COVID-related or not.
  • No copay nor deductible for HSA plan participants and their dependents, but only for COVID-related treatment and testing.

Have you heard about Doctor on Demand, a telemedicine app offered with the University's state-sponsored medical plans? Once you download the app, you can connect with a physician in minutes over live video from your smartphone, tablet, or computer—24/7, 365 days a year.

For routine cases like the flu, rashes, fevers, or sinus problems, the physician can complete a video examination and prescribe medication, if needed, while you stay in the comfort of your home. Watch a brief video to learn more:

Please have your insurance card ready, along with contact information for your pharmacy, in case you are given a prescription.

You must first register with Doctor On Demand, then download the app. Employees on the EPO, PPO, and HSA can register at Doctor on Demand.com

If you’re on the University plan for employees with domestic partners, UnitedHealthcare offers Virtual Visits for real-time consultations. You have a choice of the Doctor on Demand or Amwell networks.
