The Benefits Open Enrollment Expo for 2025 will provide information about changes and updates to benefit options for benefits-eligible employees to consider during open enrollment, Oct. 28 - Nov. 15. Employees will have the opportunity to ask questions at this event. 

What to Expect

During the Expo, ADOA will provide updates and changes regarding the benefits they manage, including: 

  • Medical, dental and vision plans

  • Retirement  

U of A HR will provide updates and changes regarding the benefits they manage, including: 

  • Supplemental retirement 

  • Supplemental life insurance 

  • Flexible Spending Accounts 

  • Short-term disability 

Representatives from the various vendors will attend.

How to prepare for attending the expo

Review your current benefits (University Benefits tile in UAccess) alongside your benefit options (Benefits page). Questions to ask yourself:

  • Is your chosen medical plan right for your current situation? What about your future situation?
  • What changes in family, medical needs, and life milestones might affect your other benefits choices (e.g., short-term disability, life insurance)?
  • Have you checked the networks for each health insurance carrier to ensure they include your preferred providers and/or state in-network?
  • Have you explored flexible spending accounts? Do you know how much an FSA could lower your taxable income?
  • Have you considered the University’s Alternative Health Plan options if you have a domestic partner?
