Activate your account by finding & enrolling in a LinkedIn Learning course. Using the search bar:

  2. Search for the course "How to Use LinkedIn Learning."

Step Three: Launch the Course to Activate your Account

  • After clicking on 'Enroll" select "Continue" to launch the course.
  • Your course will open up in a new window in LinkedIn Learning (Single Sign-on required).

Setting Up Your LinkedIn Learning Account

The first time you log on, you will be asked questions about setting up your LinkedIn Learning account. All questions are optional; however, we encourage you to complete them. All responses are only visible to you. The questions will ask you to: set a career goal, connect your LinkedIn Profile (note you do not need a LinkedIn account to use LinkedIn Learning), select skills to follow, and set a weekly learning goal.

Connecting Your LinkedIn Accounts

You do not need a personal LinkedIn Profile to use LinkedIn Learning, but you can choose to connect your LinkedIn account with your LinkedIn Learning account the first time you log in or at any time thereafter. The benefits of connecting the accounts are:

  • Your LinkedIn Learning record will be maintained even if you leave University employment
  • You will receive personalized learning recommendations based on your job title, industry, and skills
  • You can share your accomplishments and course completions with your LinkedIn connections

The University will not have access to your connections, private messages, job search activity (such as job posts you’ve viewed), or learning courses you’ve viewed in your personal account. Learn more about LinkedIn's privacy practices.
