Enhanced parental leave benefits

The University of Arizona has doubled its paid parental leave benefit for benefits-eligible faculty and staff. This benefit now covers 12 weeks rather than six, effective Jan. 1, 2022. In addition, parents have the option to extend their leave up to an additional 12 weeks using accrued time off or unpaid leave. In families in which two parents are University employees, both are entitled to take paid and unpaid parental leave.
