Updated Leave of Absence Request Process

A key initiative of the HR modernization project was establishing a new, standard leave of absence request process to receive and manage employee leave requests from beginning to end while improving tracking, compliance, and confidentiality.

As of April 7, employees can submit a leave of absence request through a new tile available in UAccess Employee. 

To submit a leave of absence request:

  • Log in to UAccess Employee/Manager Self-Service 
  • Select the Leave of Absence Request tile

This change simplifies requesting leave for personal health or family reasons and ensures compliance with federal, state, and university guidelines and policies.
