Guidance for the Friday, Oct. 22, home football game

Oct. 14, 2021

To free up parking and reduce traffic on this game day, we ask that main Tucson campus supervisors arrange for as many employees and students as possible to work from home that day.

To help facilitate this request, the University is granting four hours of University release time (paid leave) for all employees after 12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, whether working on campus or remotely. Please note the following items.

WORK FROM HOME*

Employees who work at the Tucson main campus are strongly encouraged to work from home on Friday, Oct. 22, if practical.

If working from home, employees may end work at 12 p.m. and use University release time for the rest of the workday.

If working from home is not possible, employees may leave work at 12 p.m. and use University release time for the rest of the workday.

4 HOURS UNIVERSITY RELEASE

4 hours of paid University release will be allowed after 12 p.m. on Oct. 22 for all employees. Time reporting codes:

RLE – Exempt
RLP – Nonexempt
RLS – Student Workers
RLG – Graduate Assistants/Associates

Codes will be active in UAccess Employee Oct. 18 - Nov. 14.

*Employees critical to University operations will be expected to remain on campus for the entire workday. These employees may use their University release time later in the pay period or in the immediate next pay period.

Supervisors

Please arrange for as many employees and students as possible to work from home Friday, Oct. 22, while ensuring that the work of the University proceeds. When approving time sheets in UAccess Employee/Manager Self-Service, please verify the time reporting codes are accurate before the pay period closes.
