New staff search committee training will support university hiring managers
Human Resources has created a new one-hour University Staff Search Committee Training in EDGE Learning for search committee members involved in hiring University Staff.
This new training provides committee members with a comprehensive understanding of their roles in the hiring process. It covers:
- Best practices of recruiting
- Methods to ensure equity and consistency
- Overview of relevant laws and regulations
- Outline of what to expect throughout the recruitment process
Starting January 21, HR will begin to provide and encourage this training to hiring managers and search committee members as part of the requisition creation process. HR encourages hiring managers to facilitate the completion of this training among their search committee members during recruitment kick-offs.
This new resource is part of the ongoing HR modernization process and aligns with our commitment to provide tools, information, training and support to university stakeholders to help them manage their teams and meet their goals.
