What is Open Enrollment?
During open enrollment, benefits-eligible employees can change or add to their benefit elections. These benefits may include:
- medical, dental or vision insurance
- flexible spending accounts (FSA)
- short-term disability
- life insurance
This is a passive or changes-only enrollment. If you do not make any changes, your current benefits will be carried over to the new plan year, with the exception of the FSA. If you wish to have an FSA in 2025, you must elect it.
Employees are encouraged to log in to UAccess to:
- Make sure that their benefit choices are right for them and their family
- Elect an FSA if they intend to contribute to an FSA for 2025. Their current FSA election amount will not rollover.
- Add or change their benefit choices if they need to
- Add or update dependents
- Confirm, add or change their beneficiaries for U of A-managed accounts.
