In November, Tucson voters approved Proposition 206, which gradually increases the minimum wage over several years. Effective April 1, the minimum wage in Tucson will rise from $12.80 to $13.00 per hour.
The University has increased minimum wage for all student workers to $13.00 per hour effective March 21. For staff, the University has decided to go above the requirement and has increased minimum wage to $13.50 per hour.
As of Jan. 15, 2022, every person enrolled in health insurance qualifies for 8 free at-home tests each month. That’s up to 32 tests per month for a family of four.
In collaboration with Financial Services, we have completed the annual rate review for background and Motor Vehicle Record checks. New department billing rates will take effect on Feb. 15.
